Content filter FAQs

Is Codeproof's content filter CIPA-compliant?
Yes. The Codeproof Mobile Content Filter is designed to meet the Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) requirements for E-Rate-funded schools and libraries. It blocks obscene content, child pornography, and material harmful to minors with category-based filtering and reporting.
How does filtering work on HTTPS sites?
Codeproof uses on-device DNS filtering and (for managed browsers) SNI-based blocking - no man-in-the-middle TLS interception required. For deeper inspection, you can also push corporate TLS-inspection certificates via MDM.
Can I have different policies for different groups?
Yes. Assign content-filter policies per device group (e.g., elementary vs. high school, staff vs. student, sales vs. engineering). Schedule-based rules let you change policy during school hours, weekends, or after-hours.
Does YouTube Restricted Mode work?
Yes. Codeproof can enforce YouTube Restricted Mode and force SafeSearch on Google, Bing, and DuckDuckGo via managed browser policy.
How do users request exceptions?
End users can submit an override request from the blocked-page screen. Admins approve or deny via the cloud console, with full audit history.
